Late in the third quarter, Mia Ross hit two consecutive three-pointers to give Bishop Amat their first double-digit lead in the game. This was the turning point of the game as the Lady Lancers held on to defeat Oaks Christian, 47-45, at the Carroll Center on February 20.

Jessica Quinonez went off for 12 points and got the crowd jumping with an acrobatic layup.

Morgan Rust and Mia Ross contributed to the win also as they combined for 25 points alone.

Rust sunk in a free throw with 7.3 seconds left in the game to give the Lancers the two-point lead.

As the Lions inbounded the ball for their final possession, Rust stole the ball to run out the clock and win the game for the Lancers.

With their win in the CIF quarterfinals, the team advances to the CIF semifinals against Peninsula High School on Feb. 22 in the Carroll Center at 7 pm.
