O-line dominates in Amat victory

LA PUENTE — The Lancers offensive line dominated league opponent Crespi as the Lancers rushed for 285 rushing yards in Friday’s 56-24 victory.

Bishop Amat sophmore running back Damien Moore dominated with 12 carries for 142 yards and three touchdowns. Senior Dominic Barrera had 4 carries for 85 yards and one touchdown.

The Lancers scored on every single possession except for their last drive that ended in a fumble.

Nick Hanamaikai led the way on defense with two sacks.

Barrera contributed even more on defense as he led the way with seven tackles and one tackle for loss.

The Lancers are now 3-4 overall but more importantly 3-0 in league.

Bishop Amat travels to Serra High School in Gardena on Friday in a game that will be crucial for the Lancers pursuit of the Mission League crown and a trip to CIF Playoffs.
