Boys’ Basketball playoff preview

Bishop Amat’s Boys’ Basketball team will host Mission Viejo Wednesday in the first round of the Division 3AA CIF-SS Playoffs.
The team finished with a 20-6 (7-3) record to earn second place in the Camino Real League, which gave them an automatic playoff berth. They were placed as the fifth seed out of the 30 teams that qualified.
The Lancers are led by sophomore Gjerard Wilson, who is averaging 15.3 points per game.
According to MaxPreps, senior Jarren Ford leads the whole CIF Southern Section in total assists with 190.
The Lancers look to make a deep playoff run.
