Lady Lancers sweep Pomona Catholic for second straight win

LA PUENTE — The Lady Lancer Volleyball team swept the Pomona Catholic Pacers on Tuesday night in the Carroll Center.

The Lady Lancers controlled the game in the first set only allowing the Pacers to score only 14 points and were led by seniors Maddie Ledesma and Camille Ferguson who combined for 18 kills.

The Lancers continued their near-perfection through winning the second set by a score of 25-12 and never let the Pacers back in the set.

The Lancers struggled early in the third set being outscored five points to two, but rallied behind junior Lauren Vaca, who had 19 digs in the match, and senior Lindsey Lane, who completed five kills on only six attempts, and the Lady Lancers won the third and final match 25-10.
