LA PUENTE- Monday, September 26, 2011, marked the beginning Kairos for the Senior class of 2012 at Bishop Amat.
This retreat reflects the most eventful one that Bishop Amat has come to know.
The four day, three night retreat provided students the opportunity to contemplate God’s involvement in their lives.
Kairos centers on the retreat’s main purpose to help each student discover his or her owns personal relationship with God over the next few days.
Most seniors were excited about the upcoming retreat revealing what they were most looking forward to.
“I was looking forward to grow as a person in whole to try and appreciate myself more,” senior Jackie Pimentel said.
Kairos is the most important of all retreats held at Bishop Amat because it is the last for the seniors and their classmates to come closer together as a family and it creates a bond between oneself and God.
Prior to Kairos 52, many students had also explained how such retreats have helped them grow and get in touch with their faith and morals.
“Emmaus actually helped me get closer to God and I can’t wait for Kairos to do the same,” senior Ryan Hernandez said.
Many seniors have shown quite an improvement in their faith and beliefs over the past four years and it can be considered how these retreats have helped them grow as people.
Kairos 52 was the beginning to the many retreats to come this year at Bishop Amat and the school welcomes back all their seniors from their safe trip.
