LA PUENTE–Bishop Amat held their annual Club Week, giving freshmen the chance to get involved in extracurricular activities and see what the clubs offer during an assembly in the Carrol Center.
Each club must follow the Associated Student Body (ASB) Club and Organization requirements located in Lancer Life. For instance, 75 percent of members to be present and participate in order for the club to be active. Each is required to hold monthly meetings and to complete a Christian service project.
In addition, each club must have a constitution that states all the necessary essentials that each student needs to follow to create a successful club and year.
“It is written in the constitution to help the club build a community within itself and a friendship among those students who have common interest,” Kristen Maisano, ASB Club Moderator, wrote in an email. “At the end of the day we want all students to participant in a club to make more high school memories. “
Kristen Maisano overlooks all the clubs with the help of commissioners. The commissioners are to discuss with club moderators as well as the presidents and vice presidents.
This year Bishop Amat has a total 36 new and old clubs. The success of each club is seen through the team work among the club moderator, president, and vice president.
Kristen Maisano said, “With determination and enthusiastic leadership in a club, I feel all 36 clubs will be successful this year.”
