The Lancers Basketball team is preparing to face La Salle High School tomorrow night in the Carrol Center.
The Lancers main aspiration as they face La Salle is to defeat them as they did in the 2010-2011 season. “My only goal for the team is to win, and that’s it” said Varsity Coach Brandon Ertle.
This is no ordinary league game For Amat, because as the basketball team is playing their heart out the students and faculty will be participating in the annual Blue Out.
This event consists of Amat students and fans promoting school spirit by wearing school colors to the game. “The point of the Blue out is to ensight school spirit” said ASB president Cameron Wall, “Mainly around our Basketball team as they attempt to make CIF playoffs”.
If you Purchase a “Go Big Blue” t-shirt you receive five raffle tickets including an extra ticket if you wear it to the game. Your tickets will then be entered into a raffle where you win a court side seat on a couch with as many friends you can fit on it, in addition you will be served all you can eat pizza, candy, and drinks by a Teacher.
