LA PUENTE–The Bishop Amat faculty met with parents at the Parent-Teacher Conference on Tuesday night in the Student Activity Center.
The event lasted from 5 p.m. through 8 p.m., giving the teachers and parents time to discuss their students’ progress in school.
The parents lined up an hour before, eager to meet their students’ teachers.
“Everyone is together and you can move more quickly between teachers instead of searching for their classes,” said Ms. Deborah Corrales, mother of sophomore Pamela Tonorio.
Parents said they find conferences to be extremely vital to the students’ success and something they look forward to.
“This event is another tool we can use to be up to date with our child’s progress in school,” said Ms. Corrales.
Some parents said they anticipated this event, which only occurs once a semester because communicating with teachers gives them insight on how their children are doing in school.
“Communicating with the teachers and discussing the grades is mostly important in this event,” said Mrs. Juanita Capraro, mother of senior Alex Capararo and sophomore Brittany Capararo.
