Lady Lancers defeat St. Monica in a tough match to improve to 4-0

The Lady Lancers Volleyball team won their match against Saint Monica 3-2 at the Carroll Center on Thursday. 

The Lady Lancers won the first two sets dominating Saint Monica. Saint Monica however turned it around quickly and won sets three and four tying up the match. 

In the fifth and final set the Lady Lancers and Saint Monica went into an intense match with the score shifting back and forth. The Lady Lancers had a lead 11-9 but St.Monica quickly tied it up 11-11. 

The Lady Lancers had to deal with adversity the whole game with the refs making questionable calls involving double hits,balls being in and out of bounds, and players hitting the net. 

After a controversial call the Lady Lancers found themself one point away from a win. The Lancers where able to lock in the win with the next point with a score of 15-13.

With this win the Lady Lancers were able to improve their league record to a perfect 4-0. 

The Lady Lancers have four more league games ahead of them with their next one on the road at St. Genevieve on Thursday. Their home stretch of the season also includes a rematch at St. Monica on Monday, October 11.
