The new Forever 21 is heaven for teens.
Why you may ask? Its simple. Two floors. An elevator. An escalator. Accessories on the top and bottom floor. It’s local.
I haven’t even mentioned the wide variety of clothes.
The store held its private opening on Friday, April 16. News spread by word of mouth.
Senior Sabrina Lopez was one of the many teen girls who was not aware of Friday’s private opening.
“I didn’t know it was even open till i heard that the first 300 people get free gifts cards on the radio that Friday night,” Lopez said.
By 3 p.m. on Friday, a crowd grew in the store and young teens called their friends to hurry to the new store.
The store officially opened Saturday, April 17 at 10 am.
Lopez was one of the first to show up at the door.
“I camped out there so I would be one of the first 300 people. I got there at 12 a.m. and when it opened I got my gift card and it was worth $210,” she said. “I was the only one that got that much so I spent most of it.”
Forever21 is a favorite store for many of the female students at Bishop Amat.
“I shop at Forever 21 whenever I have money,” said Lopez.
Junior Vanessa Aragon says Forever21 is her favorite store.
“I love love the new store,” she said. “It’s so big. It’s every girls heaven for clothes.”
“Yes, I shop at Forever21 for everything! It’s my first to go to store!”
Lopez shops at Forever21 for school related events.
“Yeah I shop there a lot. I love forever 21,” Lopez said. “And I do wear their clothes for some of Amat’s functions. Whether it be jewelry, skirts, shirts, shorts, pants or sweaters. I even got my outfit there for the Father-Daughter Dance.”
Girls talk about the sales they hit opening day and they describe their new gorgeous outfits.
“I bought a Mickey Mouse tank top, a sweater and a blouse with some pretty florals,” Aragon said.
It is so big that these girls can get lost.
Cecilia Barerra said that she had to walk out of the store because she was frustrated.
“The store was so pretty. Better than any of the other Forever 21’s I have been to,” said Barrera. “I went with my friend, and I got so excited I walked around the store like 20 times. I didn’t decide on buying anything because I couldn’t make up my mind so I just walked out.”
