St. Paul falls 11-3 at the hands of the Lady Lancers

SANTA FE SPRINGS – The Bishop Amat Lady Lancers softball team beat St. Paul 11-3 at York Field in seven innings this past Monday.
The Lady Lancers scored five runs in the sixth inning after an RBI single by Samaria Diaz, Eryn Sustayta, and Maddie Ramirez as well as a groundout by Julia Menrad.
Alyssa Barrera racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lady Lancers. She singled in the third inning and tripled in the fourth.
Pitcher Samaria Diaz struck out nine, paving a way for the win. Diaz allowed one run, five hits and five walks over seven innings.
The Lady Lancers softball team stood on top after taking the lead in the second, scoring two runs on a two-run home run by Julia Menrad.
