Cinderella brings color and magic to the screen

Bringing back the classic Disney princess movie, Cinderella sparks that old, yet modern hope of being a beautiful princess and some day finding your prince charming. Along with this idea it also tells all its viewers to be kind and brave, which Cinderella surely does fulfill wonderfully by being kind and brave to all.

The 2015 live action Cinderella stars Lily James (“Downton Abbey”) as Cinderella, Richard Madden (“Game of Thrones”) as Prince Charming and Cate Blanchett (Lord of the Rings) as the evil stepmother. The story was somewhat modernized, which more in-depth characterization of the characters viewers know and love.

What stood out the most in this film, aside from the wonderful acting, were the colors, the costumes and the special effects that brought the magic to the screen.

One of the most spectacular moments in the movie would have to be where Cinderella spins in her old pink, tore dress and it sparkles and changes from pink to purple to blue with a ton of sparkles which is just such a  magical and beautiful sight to see.

Throughout the entire movie you can definitely feel all the different emotions running through all the characters just by their expression or the way they say a certain line with such a passion and desire.

I think that the costumes the characters wore had a lot to do with what they are supposed to be feeling in each scene, especially for the evil mother-in-law, whose outfits very much went with her strong personality the most.

Along with wonderful acting, special effects, and costumes the story is told in a much more in depth and detailed plot that gives this classic story a new and more understanding feel. You get to know the characters on a personal level as to in the original Cinderella you get really blunt characters, such as the, mother of Cinderella that we had never met before but get to meet her and spend some time with her in the movie. Overall the way the story is told and the detail put into it makes you  understand and love it even more than you did before.
