Bishop Amat’s spring rally was bittersweet for the seniors for it’s not only their last rally of the year but their last rally as Amat students. Unfortunate to the seniors with the expectation to win the rally games as they do most years, the juniors took first place winning six to five and earning a prize later in the year. The last rally was held on March 22 in the Carroll Center.
Students were entertained with games such as “unscramble Amat Sports” with the seniors winning with words of “Amat Golf” and the medley of all spring sports as a mini track were volunteers raced against each for the best time, the winning grade level were juniors.
In between the games the team captains of each sport came down to describe their team with three adjectives that best described the team’s ambitions. The funniest description of their team was the volleyball captains senior, Julian De La Garza and freshman, Jevan Coronado with the word “Fuego”.
A special performance by the Grease cast sang a medley of songs from their production with junior Ashley Silva as Sandy and senior Jessie Alvarado as Danny Zuko.
The rally ended with the Amat Alma Mater and the seniors dismissed early.
