From the producers of the “Blind Side” comes a story about the meaning of what true friendship, courage, and support anything can be overcome.
Directed by Charles Martin Smith, with staff writers Karen Janszen and Naomi Dromi, “Dolphin Tale” is a true story of a young dolphin who was injured and works her way back to health with the help of a prosthetic tail, marine hospital, and a young boy. Some much acclaimed actors include Morgan Freeman and Harry Connick Jr.
Grossing $19 million the first weekend out, the movie was third in the top movie box office.
The story starts out with a free dolphin, later known as Winter, out in the ocean swimming that was later found caught in a crab trap with a net and cage around her tail. A young Sawyer Nelson helps the fishing man who found the young dolphin call the Marine hospital. Feeling a connection, the young boy helps the hospital with the dolphin. He finds a doctor to create a prosthetic tail for Winter to survive.
This heart-felt movie proves that with some work and a little courage, no problem in the world is impossible. The film shows its audience that nothing can stop you from accomplishing your goals and dreams.
“Dolphin Tale” inspires people who are injured or handicap and shows the world that they can do almost anything just in different ways. Winter’s story is true and she is living proof that nothing is impossible.
